According to the company’s website, KRAFTON, the South Korean publisher behind the popular battle royale game PUBG, signed a licensing agreement with Pocketpair to bring Palworld to mobile devices.
In line with the reveal, PUBG Studios, a KRAFTON subsidiary, will handle development and aim to reimagine the original game for mobile devices faithfully.
This year, Pocketpair formed a joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment and Aniplex for the purpose of licensing out Palworld IP, releasing a collection of Palworld plushies first.
In addition to PC and Xbox Series X|S versions, Palworld was released on PS5 earlier this week. PocketPair confirmed that the game will retain its pay-to-play model after some public debate about making it a live service.
Palworld and Krafton Form New Partnership
While Pocketpair awaits a legal battle with Nintendo, which has accused the Palworld developer of infringement of patents, all of this positive news comes at a positive time for Pocketpair.
As of October 1, 2024, the PC and Xbox Series X|S versions of Palworld update 0.3.9 have been released, along with the PS5 version, bringing a few important fixes.

The most recent patch brought new tweaks to the gameplay and improved functionality on the main servers. The website stated just three sentences.
