Today, a year ago, Pocketpair launched its record-breaking video game, Palworld. The game ruffled feathers everywhere, outperforming all expectations in sales and user experience. The company has promised new updates in its 2025 roadmap, which includes crossplay and a final boss.
As players wait for the updates, Pocketpair seems to be ignoring a trademark infringement lawsuit filed against it by Nintendo and the Pokemon Company. For it is in a celebration mood, and no one can stop it.
While all this is expected to happen soon, maybe in 2025, an X post suggests that some of it may be delayed until 2026. The post references the new roadmap and invites players to continue supporting the game in its second year.
The New Palworld Roadmap Amidst First Anniversary Celebration
A new message from the developers shows a relaxed team looking forward to better days and getting past the turmoil. When the company launched last year, it registered over 25 million players in one month.
“We’ve been updating the game since the start of Early Access, and we’ll continue to update Palworld as we prepare for the official release,” Pocketpair said.
The new roadmap offers much more than crossplay and a final boss. Players get excited as they imagine world transfers to Pais or the Terraria game collaboration.
The future roadmap includes the following:
- -CO-OP Crossplay
- World Transfers for Pals
- Final Boss / Ending Scenario
- Further ways to strengthen and improve Pals
- Various new content, such as new Pals and technologies
- Game Collaborations (Including Terraria)
- Tweaking of world object placement
- Improvements to base Pals
- Changes and optimization to UX
Palworld is an open-world, multiplayer survival game that resembles Pokemon in many ways. Some critics have even dubbed it “Pokemon with Guns,” adding fuel to a never-ending debate. Pockpair has denied the allegations and has so far stood the test of time.
